Dudley Simpson has been Principal Guest conductor for the Royal Ballet at Covent Garden, the Sadlers Wells Royal Ballet and the Borovansky Ballet, and Musical Director of the Covent Garden Orchestra, the Festival of Ballet in Tokyo and many Drury Lane Gala Concerts.

Among the orchestras he has conducted are the BBC Concert Orchestra, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden Orchestra, the Sadlers Wells Royal Ballet Orchestra, the Tokyo Philharmonic, the Tel Aviv Philharmonic, the Orchestra der Bayerische Staatsoper and the Nordwestdeutsche Philharmonie.

1974 Conducted own composition Voyage of Discovery at Festival Hall, London commissioned by the Australian Musical Association (Philharmusica of London)
1966 Conducted a Royal Concert at Drury Lane with the Covent Garden Orchestra to celebrate the Silver Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II.

1962-1967   Musical Director Drury Lane Gala Concerts in the presence of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother, and Her Royal Highness Princess Margaret.
1963   Principal Conductor/Musical Director for tour with Royal Ballet Company with Rudolf Nureyev and Margot Fonteyn to Nice (Nice Philharmonic Orchestra), Athens (State Opera Orchestra), Haifa, Ein Gef, Jerusalem and Tel Aviv (Tel Aviv Philharmonic Orchestra) Tokyo, Nagoya (Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra), Osaka (Osaka Symphony Orchestra) and Waikiki (Honolulu Symphony Orchestra).
1962  

Principal Conductor/Musical Director Australian and New Zealand tour with the Royal Ballet Company (all principal cities) and to Manila and Hong Kong (Manila Philharmonic Orchestra).

Conductor Bath Festival with Yehudi Menuhin and Maurice Gendron soloists and the Covent Garden Orchestra, the Royal Ballet.

Principal Conductor Sadlers Wells Royal Ballet. Toured Britain including Manchester, Birmingham, Southampton, Leeds, Oxford, Cambridge etc and Europe including Monte Carlo (L'Orchestre National de L'Opera), Athens (State Opera Orchestra), Italian Riviera including Nervi, Genova (Orchestra Stabile dal Genova), and Munich (Orchester der Bayerische Staatsoper, Prinzregenten).

1961   Musical Director with Covent Garden Orchestra at Music Festivals throughout Europe including Athens, Baalbeck, Damascus etc.
1960-1962
Principal Guest Conductor Royal Ballet.
1960   Conducting debut Royal Opera House Covent Garden Orchestra for Coppelia (three act Ballet).
1956   Musical Director/Conductor Borovansky Ballet. Conducted for Dame Margot Fonteyn, touring Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney.
1950   Assistant Conductor/Pianist Borovansky Ballet. Toured New Zealand and Australia.
